What is it?

DAT Ecopatch by Dimensions Agri Technologies AS is an intelligent sensor system that uses a Deep Learning Neural Network to detect weeds and enable targeted spraying directly from existing field sprayers.

Blanket spraying herbicides across an entire field is inefficient and costly, as chemicals are applied to large areas containing no weeds. This practice not only wastes expensive inputs but can also inadvertently stunt the growth of the primary crop. DAT Ecopatch provides a smart solution to this problem by upgrading existing sprayer equipment. The system mounts fast, consistent cameras equipped with patented sensors and powerful LED flashes directly onto the boom. An onboard computer analyses the captured images in real-time using Artificial Intelligence and a Deep Learning Neural Network, deciding instantly whether it is beneficial to open the nozzle and spray, or keep it closed.
